Abandoned Motor Vehicle

Enforcement will be temporarily suspended for the following due to the COVID-19 response:

  • 72-hour parking limit and towing
  • Commuter shuttles
  • Peak-hour towaway zones

NOTE: Enforcement of Residential Parking Permit (RPP) areas will begin again on September 14, 2020.

Motor Vehicles are prohibited from parking in the same spot for more than 72 hours. A vehicle parked in one spot for more than 72 hours without being moved from that spot for any length of time is considered abandoned and is subject to towing. If the vehicle is located off-street on private property, please report though Abandoned Motor Vehicle on Private Property.

When reporting, please provide the location of the vehicle (street address only, no intersections), and the description of the vehicle (make & model, color, number of doors, and license plate number).

After submitting your request, a Service Request Number will be provided after the request has been processed. If you wish to retain the Service Request Number for your records, please keep this page open until the SR number is presented.
