Bathrooms

Examples:

  • Bathroom not maintained in a clean or functional manner
  • Inadequate mechanical or window ventilation
  • Insufficient operational bathrooms for a floor

Community Kitchen

Examples:

  • Kitchen Area not maintained in a clean or functional manner
  • Entry doors to the kitchen area are not self closing
  • Counter, flooring or sink not made of impervious or non-absorbent materials.
  • Kitchen lacks electrical power

Doors

Examples:

  • Exterior door not properly maintained, tight fitting in frame, weather-proofed, or fully functional.
  • Residential building door being used for front entrance
  • Garage, Stairway, Boiler room, or Garbage Room lacks self-closing mechanism or are blocked from closing properly
  • Unlit entrance door not self closing or lacks a 135-degree viewer

Examples:

  • Built-in electrical appliances, lights, or switches not functioning

Elevator

Examples:

  • Elevator not properly maintained
  • Elevator certification expired/not displayed

Light Wells

Examples:

  • Light well not kept clean and operational
  • Debris on or around well obstructing light entering into the building

Plumbing

Examples:

  • Plumbing is not working
  • Leaking pipes

Ventilation

Examples:

  • Ventilation or Vent System not maintained or missing
  • Inadequate ventilation for clothes dryers, garages, garbage rooms, public halls, or any room with a gas appliance

Windows

Example:

  • Window not properly maintained, tightly fitting in frame, weather-proofed, or fully operational
  • Window painted or nailed shut
  • Replacement window lacking sufficent weather stripping
  • Escape window is not 25 inches wide or 24 inches deep
